According to TMZ, Kanye West has launched a lawsuit against Walmart YEEZY foam runner imitation. Word of the lawsuit came after the retailer “Walmart” filed a notice of opposition with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office claiming that YEEZY was infringing on its logo.

The lawsuit holds Walmart responsible for selling an “unauthorised exact copy” at a significantly lower price to dupe customers and profit off authentic YEEZY brand products. Priced between $23.99 and $24.49 the Walmart YEEZY foam runner is an exact replica of YEEZY‘s unique design which currently sells for $80, the “Daeful Mens, Womens, Kids Summer Beach Shoes Foam Runner Anti Slipper Sandals Casual” are currently now unavailable from Walmart’s website.

Walmart has issued an official statement in regards to the lawsuit, “The product referenced in the complaint is not sold by Walmart, but rather by third-party Marketplace sellers. We take allegations like this seriously and are reviewing the claim. We will respond in court as appropriate after we have been served with the complaint.”
